Valmet is adding a new flow management solutions service centre in Antofagasta, Chile, increasing its providing to the mining and metals trade.
The Antofagasta service centre begins operating this month.
pressure gauge will present a full range of move control services, together with the alternative and maintenance of valves, pumps and third-party gear. It will allow agile supply of important spare and wear components in addition to digital tools and services for the whole product and plant life cycle. The service centre may also serve as a buyer coaching facility.
The Valmet portfolio for mining, metals and steel consists of the Neles, Jamesbury, Neles Easyflow and Flowrox manufacturers.
Valmet entered into the flow management business in April 2022 when the economic flow management company Neles was merged into Valmet.
“Over the years, we’ve systematically expanded our circulate control installed base and solution providing for the mining and metals trade within the region,” says Fabio Maia, head of the South & Central America Area at Valmet’s Flow Control business line. “The new facility allows us to higher respond to the growing demand for buyer assist as well as drive our enlargement in minerals processing. From Antofagasta, our service groups will be near buyer operations in Chile and in Peru.”
