The various possible configuration levels for a pressure measurement solution aren’t defined conceptually in any standard. At WIKA we’ve chosen the following terminology:

Typically, it usually is coded and ordered as a catalogue product and therefore provides the customer with a plug-and-play solution. Nevertheless, customised versions are possible when backed up with a corresponding ?business case?.

A pressure sensor module is made for OEM applications. It delivers a standardised and calibrated signal, but could be customised pertaining to connections and size. EMC protective measures must be arranged in the customer application.
Sensor elements and their assemblies
Sensor elements and their assemblies
Sensor elements and their assemblies deliver an uncalibrated signal in mV/V and will be designed to suit the client through corresponding modifications of the pressure connection or addition of an incident etc. Here the client is in charge of the calibration and thus for the accuracy achieved.
